Job Description:

PetroRaq Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QHSE Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our QHSE management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. QHSE System Management:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
  • Continuously improve the QHSE management system to enhance performance and reduce risks.
Health and Safety:
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all construction and engineering activities comply with quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Environmental Management:
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans to minimize the environmental impact of construction and engineering activities.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance and compliance.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date QHSE documentation, including policies, procedures, records, and reports.
  • Prepare and present QHSE performance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure QHSE standards are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and contractors on QHSE matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QHSE roles within the construction and design engineering sectors.
  • Professional certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) and quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international QHSE regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in QHSE management software and tools.
Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of QHSE principles and practices.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Capability to lead and conduct safety training and awareness programs.
  • Proficiency in using QHSE management systems and software.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
