Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Structural Engineer to join our team at Assystem, a leading company in the energy transition sector. As a BIM Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and performing structural engineering 3D-BIM modeling and developing designs that meet the company's goals for client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Structural BIM Modeling and Design

    Creating and generating structural BIM models as per BEP and BIM standards shared from the company BIM unit, as well as relevant project standards. Preparing structural design drawings, shop-drawings, and as-built drawings. Parameter filling and extraction for COBIE.
  2. Coordination and Collaboration

    Coordinating with engineers to collect project requirements and ensure consistency and full coordination between all design trades using x-ref tools or BIM links for relevant associated design models. Attending technical meetings with client BIM teams and technical BIM peers as requested.
  3. Quality Assurance and Control

    Performing self-eye technical review on structural drawings prior to commencing the 1st eye review process, as well as prior to starting the QC checking for any submittals. Creating quality assurance department packages for approval and filling checklists required by the QC team related to BIM/drawings.
  4. BIM Standardization and Norms

    Performing BIM standardization parameters and norms as per BEP and project-relevant standards. Archiving markups drawings given by engineers at every design stage. Providing highlighted markups drawings to engineers as evidence of comments implementations.
  5. Documentation and Record-Keeping

    Tracking BIM records and ensuring that drawings folders are maintained during all design stages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (CIVIL ENGINEERING)
  • 9 years of experience in the field of BIM and engineering design
  • Software knowledge: Revit, Auto CAD, Navis Works, STAAD.Pro, Lumion, Tekla
  • Scan To BIM Software: ReCap to BIM Model
  • Well-versed written and spoken communication in English
