Job Summary

The role of the Business Development Officer is a key position in our organization, responsible for identifying and pursuing corporate and high-net-worth transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with potential clients and maintaining a healthy pipeline of prospects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Sourcing: Develop a strong deal pipeline and achieve minimum sourcing & booking targets at set pricing.
  • Client Engagement: Arrange regular visits with potential customers to understand their needs and inform them about our financial products.
  • Intermediary Relationships: Liaise with strategically important intermediaries such as business consultants, project managers, brokers, etc. to generate sustained deal flow.
  • Customer Data Management: Liaise with prospects to receive and consolidate data on customer's background and basic financial health to commence a business relationship.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain excellent relations with potential customers.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify prospects and business opportunities for financing.
  • Solution Presentation: Proactively approach prospects and present our financial solutions.
  • Process Adherence: Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Marketing Skills: Experience in marketing and sales.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Persuasion Skills: Persuasion and convincing skills.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in direct sourcing transactions.
