The role of a Contract Manager at RLB KSA involves overseeing the commercial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring seamless collaboration between stakeholders, and maintaining excellent client relationships.

This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in managing large and complex projects from inception through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent client-facing and negotiation abilities, as well as expert knowledge of the FIDIC suite of contracts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Claim Avoidance and Mitigation: Familiarize yourself with the FIDIC Conditions of Contract to drive claim avoidance and mitigation strategies, advising the Project Manager accordingly.
  • Contract Administration: Coordinate with other team members to provide contract administration advice based on the Conditions of Contract, covering Contractor's obligations, entitlements, delays, disruption, extensions of time, daywork claims, consequences of acceleration, and assessment of loss and expense.
  • Correspondence and Claim Notices: Advise and assist the Project Manager with all correspondence and related contractual issues, including Employer's claim notices, 'Early Warning Alerts,' and response to Contractor's notices and claims.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Quantity Surveying degree or similar construction-related degree with extensive technical delivery experience in a management role within a consultancy or end-user client.
  • Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS or FRICS).
  • 15 years' commercial experience, 10 years' experience within a consultancy or client organization, and 5 years' international or GCC region experience.
  • Expert FIDIC suite of contracts knowledge.
  • Excellent client-facing and negotiation abilities.
