Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistently strong operational support for all internal hotel IT systems and users, minimizing any system outages.
  • Supervise the IT Department on a daily basis, providing guidance and direction to ensure the team is meeting its objectives.
  • Maintain excellent product knowledge and apply it to deliver full system benefits, staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements.
  • Understand and comply with legal requirements on IT governance and security, ensuring the hotel's IT systems are secure and compliant with industry standards.
  • Handle IT issues efficiently and completely, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Identify current and future system needs and provide solutions to meet those needs, working closely with other departments to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Build strong internal working relationships with all hotel departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Previous IT management experience, preferably in the hotel, leisure, and/or service sector.
  • Experience with all Microsoft systems, including Windows, Office, and other related software.
  • Experience with hotel applications, such as Fidelio and Micros, is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current technical skills and knowledge of technology, including networks, databases, business applications, and development methodology.
  • General understanding of IT infrastructure trends and technologies, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
  • Ability to plan ahead and develop contingency plans, where necessary, to ensure business continuity.
