Laboratory Director

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Director to lead our diagnostic services team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Develop and administer the technical and administrative activities of the laboratory.
• Plan for the effective and efficient scheduling and utilization of personnel resources, equipment, and supplies.
• Manage the Quality Assurance Program, review standards and quality control of technical procedures, and monitor records for all quality control and proficiency testing.
• Assess the value of new procedures, products, and equipment for utilization by the laboratory.
• Recommend on the selection of laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Keep contact with customers for all complaints and recommendations.
• Evaluate the performance of subordinate employees.
• Plan, administer, and enforce appropriate policies, procedures, and practices.
• Selection of test methodology appropriate for the clinical use of the test results.
• Identify training needs and assure that each individual performing tests receives regular in-service training and education appropriate for the type and complexity of the laboratory services performed.
• Specify, in writing, the responsibilities and duties of each person engaged in the performance of the pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases of testing.
• Maintain a complete record for every employee and follow the validity of the employee licenses and documents.
• Follow the renewal of the branch licenses and the updating of the data for the Labor office, Passport office, and Social insurance, by receiving reports from Human Resources Dept.

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.
• Certification as a Laboratory consultant or Senior Registrar by SCHS.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Laboratory Director or in a senior leadership role in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Thorough knowledge of laboratory operations, quality management, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated track record of driving quality improvement initiatives and achieving operational excellence.
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems and other relevant technology platforms.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
