Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the pre-outfitting operations, ensuring the efficient installation of equipment, systems, and components in ship structures during the construction phase. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of shipbuilding processes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Department Management: Manage and lead the pre-outfitting department, including planning, organizing, and coordinating department activities.
- Equipment and System Installation: Oversee the installation of various equipment, systems, and components in ship structures, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a team of pre-outfitting technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of pre-outfitting activities with other shipbuilding processes.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the proper installation, alignment, and functioning of equipment and systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in Pre-Outfitting in shipbuilding, with extensive experience in shipbuilding or offshore construction.
