We are seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Engineer to join our team at Asterix Communications. As a key member of our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our operating facilities and projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include implementing corrosion management programs, conducting risk-based inspections, and reviewing design packages to ensure compliance with industry standards. You will also be responsible for managing water treatment programs, validating corrosion controls, and assessing feed composition changes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement corrosion management programs to ensure asset integrity.
- Conduct risk-based inspections to identify potential corrosion risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Review and approve design packages to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage water treatment programs to prevent corrosion and ensure efficient operation.
- Validate corrosion controls and assess feed composition changes to ensure asset integrity.
- Develop and transfer knowledge about corrosion control best practices to team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, and a minimum of 12 years' experience in the oil and gas industry. You should also hold a valid NACE Specialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist certification.
Knowledge of international standards and codes, such as NACE, ASME, API, and ASTM, is essential. You should also have experience with inspection and corrosion standards, such as API-571, API-580, API-570, and API-510.
