Job Summary

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled HSE Engineer - Saudi National to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and secure working environment that aligns with our company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collate and Analyze Data: Gather, analyze, and submit CSC and contractor data in a timely and accurate manner for review.
  2. Generate Reports and Statistics: Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics on behalf of our clients.
  3. Lead by Example: Demonstrate safe personal behavior and represent the organization on the project site for HSE-related matters.
  4. Ensure Compliance: Verify that supervisory consultant and contractor key deliverables are prepared, reviewed, approved, and implemented as necessary.
  5. Follow-up on Closeout Actions: Follow up with CSC HSE managers/engineers and contractors HSE managers for pending closeout actions of SOR, abnormal events, audits, and compliance inspections.
  6. Conduct Office Assessments: Conduct monthly office assessments, including office inspections and office risk assessments.
  7. HSE Assurance Activities: Conduct inspections, including verification of close-out by contractors, document reviews, and support audits as required.
  8. Support Incident Investigations: Support incident investigations as required.
  9. Review HSE Performance: Review information on first aid cases, near misses, injuries, damages, and losses and review overall HSE performance during project execution.
  10. Liaise with Client Representatives: Liaise with client representatives as required on all HSE matters in a professional and responsible manner.
  11. Flexibility: Be flexible in working schedules to ensure adequate HSE cover during shift and weekend working.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience, with at least 2 in a similar role.
  • Language Skills: Strong command of English.
  • Professional Certifications: NEBOSH IGC or equivalent, professional membership (IOSH, IIRSM).
  • Skills: Report writing and data gathering, self-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative, attention to detail, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
  • Software Skills: Experience in use of Microsoft Office Tools, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
