About the Role

We seek an experienced professional to lead our efforts in promoting sound financial management practices among our member countries. This role involves developing policies, guidelines, and procedures to enhance the integrity of our operations and support the adoption of country systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, economics, or business administration and a minimum of 8 years of experience in project finance, auditing, risk management, or a related field. Proficiency in project management, operational policies, project financial management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update project financial management policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with regional hubs and teams to address public financial management and governance issues in member countries.
  • Lead the design and execution of major public financial management policy initiatives in member countries.
  • Support the development of standardized financial management documents and templates.
  • Ensure compliance with IDB's financial management policies and procedures in complex operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project finance, auditing, risk management, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent accounting certification preferred.
  • Excellent project management, operational policy, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
