Roles and responsibilities

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Assistant Foreman. In this role, you will work closely with the Foreman to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. You will be responsible for assisting in the management of day-to-day operations, coordinating resources, and overseeing the work of the construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the Foreman in planning and coordinating daily activities on the construction site
Supervise and provide guidance to the construction team
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Review project plans and blueprints to identify potential issues and propose solutions
Monitor progress and quality of work, making adjustments as necessary
Assist with the procurement of materials and equipment
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
Support in Supervising Operations:

Assist the foreman in overseeing daily operations and ensuring work progresses according to schedules and plans.
Supervise workers to ensure tasks are executed efficiently and according to established standards.
Act as the foreman's representative in their absence, managing the team and resolving minor issues.
Coordination of Work Activities:

Help organize and assign tasks to team members based on project priorities and worker skills.
Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of assigned work.
Coordinate with other teams or departments to facilitate smooth operations.

Desired candidate profile

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
Strong organizational and time-management skills to oversee multiple tasks.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, or technical documents (if applicable).
Basic knowledge of inventory and equipment management.
Communication skills to effectively relay instructions and feedback.
