Warehouse Storekeeper

The warehouse storekeeper is responsible for handling warehouse, shipping and receiving activities, maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete goods receiving by processing and receiving orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels to ensure availability for operational needs.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes and placing orders in the delivery area.
- Enforce inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests. Provide quality service by following flyadeal's standards.
- Preserve a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat.
- Ensure that perishable or time-sensitive materials are stored and distributed appropriately.
- Promote a clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials or items that require special precautions.
- Adhere to environmental regulations when handling materials with environmental impacts.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to resolve issues related to orders or deliveries.
- Contribute to the team by accomplishing related results as needed.
Order Fulfillment and Dispatch:
- Pick and Pack Orders: Collect and pack goods according to customer orders, ensuring the correct items are picked and packed in the right quantity.
- Shipping Coordination: Prepare items for shipment by labeling packages, completing shipping documents, and coordinating with logistics or courier services to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure Accuracy: Double-check orders to avoid errors in fulfillment, ensuring that products are shipped to the correct destination and meet customer specifications.
Stocktaking and Auditing:
- Physical Stock Counts: Regularly participate in stocktaking to ensure that physical inventory matches recorded inventory. This could include annual or quarterly full stock counts or spot checks.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Investigate and report any discrepancies between physical and recorded stock levels to ensure accuracy and prevent loss or theft.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal or external audits of warehouse stock and report on the accuracy and condition of inventory.
Diploma in any related field.
Preferably 1 year minimum experience in a similar role.
Inventory Management:
Stock Control: Ensure that stock levels are accurately maintained and monitored. Track stock movements and ensure the warehouse is stocked according to demand and supply needs.
Inventory Updates: Regularly update inventory records, either manually or through inventory management software, and ensure real-time data accuracy.
Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and inform management when stock is running low or needs to be reordered. Participate in reordering processes and manage incoming goods.
Receiving Goods:
Goods Receipt: Oversee the receipt of materials and products from suppliers or manufacturers. Verify that goods match the purchase order in terms of quantity, quality, and specification.
Inspection: Inspect incoming goods for any damages or discrepancies and report them to the relevant department. Ensure that defective items are properly handled.
Labeling and Tagging: Ensure that all items are labeled or tagged appropriately with barcodes, product numbers, and other relevant identification information.
Storage and Organization:
Warehouse Organization: Organize products and materials in the warehouse, ensuring that items are stored safely, are easily accessible, and make efficient use of space.
Shelving and Racking: Ensure that shelves, racks, and bins are properly stocked and labeled to optimize storage and retrieval. Maintain a tidy and well-organized warehouse environment.
Rotation of Stock: Ensure the proper rotation of stock to prevent stock from becoming obsolete or expired. Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In, First-Out) methods depending on the nature of the products.
