- Performs nutritional screening, assessment and reassessment for patient that are on therapeutic diet, which are appropriate and timely per Established policies and procedures.
- Discusses patient's cases and food—drug interactions with physician and nursing staff and other health care professionals as needed.
- Evaluate appropriatenesa of enteral nutrition support, including energy protein, adequacy of fluid provision
- Conduct in and out patient education with the patient and family and staff as needed, charts information in the nutritional data sheet.
- Develops nutrition care pan and educational materials and monitors patient response to care plan developed as per policy.
- Provide inpatient discharge diet instructions.
- Covers outpatient dietitian clinics and assess nutritional status and develops care plan.
