Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Provide supervision and advise to the project team ensuring that operational, professional and technical activities are performed consistently in line with organization's vision, mission, goals and objectives
- Entail very high technical requirement; help users write design briefs and formulate user requirements; review designs done by consulting architects and compare it with the user requirements & HMG design policies and design standards.
- Assess quality of architectural related work at site; monitor coordination issues of consultants; review conformity with relation to samples, mock-ups, materials; and ensure adherence to specified procedural issues.
- Design modifications to existing premises which includes help users formulate user requirements.
- Prepare schematic and detailed designs on CAD which are fully coordinated for engineering services including structure, HVAC, plumbing, medical gases and electrical requirements.
- Specify material for use and ensure adherence to agreed time schedule for design.
- Visit Project site and work with engineering and construction units at project.
- Meet project timelines.
- Spearhead the project to achieve best standards and efficiency.
- Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
- Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Minimum Four (4) years of progressive experience of design and project management of large nature or other related areas in a large multi-size organization
Project Design and Development:
Lead the design process, developing conceptual designs, schematics, and detailed plans for buildings or structures.
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and functional requirements for a project.
Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) to create detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and visual representations.
Ensure that designs comply with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
Team Leadership and Project Management:
Lead a team of architects, designers, and technical staff, providing mentorship and guidance on design solutions and project tasks.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, interior designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are integrated and aligned.
Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and schedules, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and managing resources effectively.
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration:
Regularly communicate with clients to present designs, provide updates, and address concerns or modifications.
Conduct client meetings to gather input, understand objectives, and explain design concepts, ensuring the client's needs are fully addressed.
Work closely with stakeholders, including developers, engineers, local authorities, and regulatory agencies, to ensure that designs are feasible and meet legal requirements.
Negotiate design solutions, contracts, and terms with clients, consultants, and contractors.
