This position is responsible in ensuring the efficient of pre-opening, and the operation of the hotel property and all its equipment, ancillary maintenance and repair services and protection of the Owner's asset. Structural aspects of the hotel as well as the maintenance of grounds and external facilities fall within the span of responsibility of the Director of Engineering.
- Supervise the maintenance and of repair the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents.
- Ensure the execution and achievement of the hotel's preventive maintenance program.
- Monitor budget and control expenses within all areas of the department.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial.
**Qualifications**
- Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior engineering operations position or 3+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel industry.
- Working knowledge of engineering and construction records management. principles and procedures, as well as a detailed experience with capital and operating budgeting procedures.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt as necessary, while taking initiative.
- Highly organized and process oriented, while displaying and ensuring accountability of self and team members.
