Riyadh, Saudi Arabia King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Full time

This is a position for doctoral scientists with extensive diagnostic experience. Provides state-of-art laboratory services in the section.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Maintains state-of-the-art methodologies and researches literature for current update. Performs routine clinical work as assigned by the section.

2. Verifies all quality control and proficiency testing.

3. Trains and assists personnel in the proper implementation and operations of all routine procedures.

4. Teaches students, residents, and fellows rotating in the section.

5.Undertakes/participates clinical research as investigator in collaboration with others according to the needs of the section.

6. Promotes professional and organizational development of the section in consultation with the head of section or department chairman.

7. Ensures prompt reporting of the tests done as well as maintains and updates records and statistical data on procedures performed.

8. Monitors performance standards including quality assurance, quality control and troubleshooting.

9. Promotes and participates in educational and training activities of the technical staff.

10. Maintains an on-going program for continuing education through lectures, presentations, and case histories.

11. Performs other related duties assigned.

12. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.

13. Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.

14. Participated Sectional/Departmental and Hospital wide quality improvement plan.

15. Participates in applicable safety guidelines.

16. Provides consultations and interpretations pertaining to all tests performed by the section.

17. Participates, implements and maintains appropriate IPP relevant to the clinical practice.

**Education**:
Ph.D. and Board Certification in related discipline.

**Experience Required**:
Three (3) years post PhD clinical experience in related field.
