Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete. The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system. Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

**Position Summary**:
The role of the Claims Forensic Planner, with a solid grounding in planning and forensic schedule analysis, is a key part of a small team of claims specialists working closely in the preparation and/or assessment of claims for additional time and cost on a very demanding and challenging project. Reporting to the Subcontracts Department Claims Manager, and in collaboration with other claims specialists on the team, the Claims Forensic Planner is seen as a key team member in achieving our challenging goals.

**Responsibilities**:
**Qualifications and Skills**

Includes the following:

- Qualification in a construction discipline, engineering or quantity surveying, with requisite experience, including field based experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in planning, construction and engineering.
- An effective communicator, oral and written.
- Fully conversant with Primavera P6 8.3 with a minimum of 10 years Primavera related experience.
- Expert skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Career experience must come out of the construction industry, including good civil engineering exposure (horizontal, underground and bridge/viaduct construction; experience in rail an advantage).
- Able to carry out document research in a logical, structured manner. The project uses ACONEX.
- Able to interface with construction team personnel (field) in the collection and validation of evidence (background stories).
- Highly conversant with delay impact analysis methodologies and with window analysis processes.
- Familiar with concepts such as concurrent and parallel delays, excusable/non-excusable, compensable/non-compensable; case law and reference text (e.g. Pickavance, AACE, SCL) knowledge will be an advantage.
- Familiarity also in the assessment of loss of productivity claims.
- This is not a management position; this is a position for a hands-on specialist.
- Expert knowledge of Project Controls processes.
