**Enterprise** Architecture at Monstarlab**

Within Monstarlab’s Architecture practice, we’re interested in finding problem solvers who can think critically about a client’s need and organise an enterprise solution involving our team of experts that solves that problem.

**Your responsibilities as an Enterprise Architect**:

- Leading and participating in steering workshops and project planning phases
- Communication of technical designs through detailed architecture diagrams, data models, mockups and journey maps to technical and non-technical audiences
- Translation and management of requirements (functional and non-functional) at an enterprise level ensuring they can be described to Solution Architects
- Managing expectations arising through consultation with senior stakeholders, internal and external
- Reviewing technical solutions and proposals, evaluating alternative approaches and supporting the development of prototypes as well as technical/functional specifications
- Mentoring and leading team members, collaboration on shared initiatives and practices for other architects
- Ensuring overall transformation of clients' current solutions from legacy setups to state-of-the-art functionality
- Informing, managing and steering clients on relevant governance, legislative, regulatory and other risk concerns that affect their Enterprise Architecture
- Technology, Business, People and Process Change Management and Transition Planning, with previous experience bringing together multi-stage rollouts and migration planning for complex systems
- Ensuring that an Architecture Repository is established and well-maintained within a programme of work allowing internal and external stakeholders to interoperate

**You will need to demonstrate knowledge of these areas to be effective in the role**:

- Extensive experience in a Senior Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect role, and will have functioned as Architecture Lead on diverse and complex programmes of work
- You are able to think critically about the confluence of Business, Technology, Data and Commercial challenges our clients might face
- A Technical as well as Commercial thinker who works well at a programme level to define requirements, but more than that you are proactive, enthusiastic and committed to delivering solutions that clients love
- You are proactive, enthusiastic, able to communicate at a wide variety of levels and complexities and are committed to delivering enterprise solutions that clients love
- Beyond your hands-on experience, you will need solid experience in leading a team and you will also need to have been part of pitching and selling projects, by doing tech validation, estimations, and communicating enterprise solutions
- Experience in software development, solution architecture and enterprise architecture, including leading teams on cloud-based and/or scalable digital solution builds for mobile, web and back-end
- Knowledge and experience of Enterprise/Solution Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman
- You are capable of tactical as well as strategic thinking in a complex environment, allowing you to achieve the best outcomes for mission-specific projects and innovations that Enterprise clients prioritise
- You think and act in terms of enabling the people, processes, units and other business concerns of the enterprise thorough a lens of enterprise architecture

**Useful Skills**:
These areas could be useful to you in being successful in the role:

- Good knowledge of how to determine key aspects of how a solution is connected, such as API Contracts, PubSub, and Infrastructure services
- Ability to model solutions around the business domain as a central guideline, assuring long-term development agility and scalability of the system. Being familiar with Domain-Driven Design is a big plus.
- Working knowledge of Well Architected Principles on any of the large Cloud vendors
- Recent experience of development in backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure and/or data engineering
- Loving documentation as much as we do would be useful. We work in C4 model as standard to ensure easy collaboration, with PlantUML used within solution documentation.
- Thinking about how we test quality in
