The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work on equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations, minimizing downtime, and preventing operational disruptions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Preventive Maintenance**:
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and systems as per the maintenance schedule.
Inspect and test equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
**Troubleshooting and Repair**:
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in equipment and machinery.
Carry out repairs efficiently and promptly to minimize downtime.
**Parts Replacement**:
Identify worn-out or faulty parts and replace them as necessary.
Order spare parts, ensuring that replacements meet the required standards.
**Safety Compliance**:
Ensure all equipment and machinery are operating safely and comply with safety regulations.
Follow all safety protocols during maintenance and repair procedures.
**Documentation**:
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
Provide regular reports to supervisors or managers regarding maintenance work completed and any potential issues that need attention.
**Collaboration with Other Teams**:
Work closely with other technicians and departments to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment.
Provide technical support to other departments when required.
**Emergency Response**:
Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and equipment breakdowns.

**Requirements**:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience in maintenance (preferably in an industrial or mechanical setting).
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a maintenance environment.
**Skills**:
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
Attention to detail and precision in carrying out maintenance tasks.
