Under general supervision, develops and performs Quality Assurance/Quality Control audits based on quality system standards such as ISO 9000. Assesses and documents the compliance to such systems based on the quality system standards. Identifies improvement opportunities based on audit. Performing vendor audits in order to improve incoming supplies. Planning, directing, and providing technical support for testing and design in materials engineering activities. Providing technical support to operations in the areas of nondestructive examination and Welding Engineering. May be involved with a team performing quality inspections on products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions. Completion of an undergraduate degree in an Engineering required and 7 years of experience required.
