Assistant Fire Chief/fire Inspector

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Perform duties as Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Inspector at a foreign military airfield location
- Provide supervision when directed for approximately twenty (20 firefighters providing Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) at two airfields and one heliport.
- Support the Fire Chief in coordination and integration of all ARFF activities with a Contractor Airfield Operations team led by a Program Manager.
- Provide oversight for on-the-job training for host nation fire fighters working alongside the contract fire fighters.
- Must maintain copies of all reports and records for viewing and complying with any corrective action required.
- Attend Company, Base Environmental and or Saudi ARFF-related meetings/training as required.
- Responsible for conducting fire prevention inspections throughout the facility and filing the inspections for the fire department and government review.
- Assist the EH&S Manager in the enforcement of MNG and Company smoking policies.
- Responsible for monthly inspections of portable fire extinguishers to include coordination with NASCCFD for annual inspections, additions/deletions or replacement of fire extinguishers.
- Responsible for the development and update of Emergency Escape Routes at the facility.
- Responsible for conducting fire inspections to ensure compliance with NAS 3306.
- Required to handle hazardous materials in the performance of assigned duties.
- Maintain the highest ethical personal and professional standards.

**POSITION SCOPE AND CHARTER**
- Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) and minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in working as a certified firefighter.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years as a Fire Chief or Assistant Fire Chief, preferably in an airport/airfield environment.
- Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.
- Must be comfortable working with host nation military personnel.
- Knowledge of materials used and safety precautions as applicable to usage.
- Familiarization with AR 95-20, DCMA 8210.1c., and NAS 3306 for Airfield Operations.
- Must have a valid state operator's license and be able to pass the government licensing requirements.
- Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data
- Will be required to travel when deemed necessary.
