Key Responsibilities:

- _ Overseeing the entire project and ensuring it adheres to the established timelines and budget._
- _ Coordinating with other project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and government agencies._
- _ Developing detailed design plans for runways, taxiways, aprons, and other airport infrastructure._
- _ Ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements._
- _ Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments._
- _ Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate civil engineering elements into the airport's overall design._
- _ Implementing quality control procedures to ensure the construction adheres to design specifications and meets industry standards._
- _ Conducting regular inspections and quality audits._
- _ Addressing and resolving any design or construction issues that may arise._
- _ Developing and managing project budgets._
- _ Tracking project costs and expenditures._
- _ Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending changes when necessary._
- _ Managing contracts with construction firms and subcontractors._
- _ Reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions._
- _ Ensuring that all parties involved adhere to contract requirements._
- _ Identifying potential risks to the project and developing mitigation plans._
- _ Monitoring and managing project risks throughout the construction process._
- _ Ensuring that all civil engineering aspects of the airport project comply with local, state, and federal regulations._
- _ Obtaining necessary permits and approvals._
- _ Implementing environmental sustainability practices and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations._
- _ Managing environmental impact assessments and mitigation efforts._
- _ Leading a team of civil engineers and other professionals._
- _ Providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to junior engineers and staff._
- _ Maintaining detailed project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence._
- _ Preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders and management._
- _ Regularly communicating with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address concerns._
- _ Promoting a culture of safety on the construction site and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed._

Key Qualifications and Experience:

- _ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field._
- _ Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred._
- _ Proven experience (15 years) in civil engineering, with a focus on large infrastructure projects, preferably including airports or transportation facilities._
- _ Strong expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering tools._
