**Job Description: Storekeeper (Maintenance Store & Equipment Spare Parts)**

**Position Summary**:
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the maintenance store and ensuring the efficient handling of equipment spare parts. This role includes inventory management, recordkeeping, procurement coordination, and maintaining a well-organized store to support the maintenance team's operational needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Maintain accurate records of all spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Categorize and label spare parts for easy identification and access.
- **Store Operations**:

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of spare parts and supplies.
- Safely store items, adhering to storage requirements (e.g., temperature-sensitive items or hazardous materials).
- Issue spare parts and tools to maintenance personnel as per job requirements.
- **Procurement Coordination**:

- Collaborate with procurement and vendors to source and purchase spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Monitor lead times and ensure timely restocking of critical items.
- Evaluate suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- **Documentation and Recordkeeping**:

- Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Generate and update inventory reports, purchase orders, and requisitions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding documentation and inventory control.
- **Equipment Maintenance Support**:

- Provide technical assistance in identifying the correct spare parts for equipment maintenance or repair.
- Maintain familiarity with equipment specifications to improve efficiency in spare parts allocation.
- **Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)**:

- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with HSE regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free store environment.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to support their operations.
- Communicate inventory levels and any potential shortages to supervisors proactively.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: diploma or equivalent. A diploma or certification in inventory management or supply chain is an advantage.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a maintenance or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with spare parts and equipment used in manufacturing, construction, or mechanical operations.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in inventory management software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical equipment is a plus.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Willingness to work in a warehouse or industrial environment, sometimes under varying conditions.

Pay: ﷼2,000.00 - ﷼3,000.00 per month
