As the Associate Director of Cost Control, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the cost control function within the company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement cost control procedures and guidelines for Qiddiya's projects.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies.
- Review and analyze project contracts, invoices, and change orders to verify accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on project costs and variances.
- Coordinate with finance teams to align cost control efforts with financial reporting and forecasting.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on cost estimation, forecasting, and tracking.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges related to project costs.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in cost control processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of cost control professionals.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 9-12 years of relevant experience.
- Professional certifications, such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP), are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Experience with cost control software and tools, such as Primavera P6, SAP System: Create/manage purchase requisitions and service entry sheets, Prism System: Manage project costs and identify variances.
- Payment Management: Follow up on payments, ensuring timely processing and record-keeping.
- Cost Reporting: Prepare/present monthly cost reports and analyze cost data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership abilities, with proven experience in managing and developing a team.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabia's construction and project management regulations is a plus
