**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As the Pharmacist overseeing patient safety for our client, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of infusion therapies to our patients. Your expertise in pharmacy practice, medication management, and regulatory compliance will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care. You will collaborate with nurses to implement safety protocols, provide education, and promote a culture of patient safety across our network of infusion centers.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- _ Patient Safety Oversight_: Assume responsibility for patient safety initiatives and programs within the the clinic location. Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent medication errors, adverse drug events, and other safety concerns.
- _ Medication Management: _Oversee the procurement, storage, dispensing, and administration of medications used in infusion therapy. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and best practices.
- _ Quality Assurance and Safety Audits: _Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to assess adherence to safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements. Implement corrective actions as needed to address any identified issues.
- _ Medication Safety Education: _Provide ongoing education and training to healthcare staff, including nurses and pharmacy technicians, on safe medication practices, proper handling of medications, and the use of infusion-related equipment.
- _ Adverse Event Reporting: _Establish a robust adverse event reporting system to capture and analyze medication-related incidents. Review reported events, investigate root causes, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- _ Drug Interactions and Complications: _Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and mitigate potential drug interactions, contraindications, and complications related to infusion therapy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and other applicable healthcare guidelines. Keep abreast of updates and changes in relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.
- _ Emergency Preparedness: _Develop and maintain emergency protocols for handling medication-related emergencies within the infusion centers. Provide training to staff on emergency response procedures.
- _ Continuous Improvement: _Analyze patient safety data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and optimize care processes.
- _ Collaboration and Communication:_ Collaborate with the medical director, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary communication and teamwork focused on patient safety.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Current and unrestricted pharmacist license to practice in Saudi Arabia
- Prior experience in ambulatory or outpatient pharmacy practice
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication safety practices, and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with medication management systems and infusion-related equipment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety
