**Job Title**: Mechanical Engineer - Lifting Operations Experience

**Reports To**: Rig Move Supervisor / Lifting Superintendent

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the planning and execution of rig move activities, including lifting, loading, and equipment positioning.
- Assist in preparing lifting plans, rigging studies, and method statements for rig move operations.
- Work alongside experienced riggers and lifting supervisors to gain practical experience in the field.
- Conduct equipment inspections and ensure compliance with lifting gear standards.
- Participate in HSE briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments related to rig move and lifting tasks.
- Coordinate with crane operators, logistics teams, and site management for smooth execution of lifting operations.
- Track and manage documentation related to lifting activities, including gear certifications and checklists.
- Commit to completing the **Saudi Aramco Rigger Level 1 Certification** within a specified timeline.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering**.
- Minimum 1 **year** of experience in lifting operations, preferably in oil & gas or rig operations.
- Exposure to **lifting, rigging, or rig move activities** is highly preferred.
- Willingness and eligibility to attend **Saudi Aramco Rigger Level 1 training and examination**.
- Familiarity with **Saudi Aramco standards** (especially GI-8.001) is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in remote rig site conditions.
- Good English communication skills; Arabic is a plus.

**Development Plan**:

- **Stage 1**: Field exposure with rig move and lifting teams
- **Stage 2**: Internal and third-party training on lifting and rigging standards
- **Stage 3**: Enroll and complete **Saudi Aramco Rigger Level 1 Certification**:

- **Stage 4**: Take on increased responsibility in supervising lifts and managing rigging crews

**Preferred (but Not Required)**:

- Previous experience with rig move logistics or lifting equipment
- HSE training (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or lifting plan software
