Mep Manager

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **MEP Manager **to join our team This is an integral role in one of key engagements and you will Manages a team of MEP engineers and inspectors for the execution of Building Works

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Supervise EMP works at all the Projects using the relevant site teams
- Cooperates with the Construction and Engineering Manager for the on-time and on-budget completion of the Projects
- Review the Contractor’s Progress Reports and prepare reports for the Project Controls Department
- Manages teams of PMC EMP engineers and inspectors on how to assure the Safety and the quality of works on all the sites.
- Being proactive on supporting the Sub-Consultants and Contractors on the EMP works
- Review Contractors shop drawings, programme and progress.
- In case he is going to be appointed to support the Engineering Team he must be able to review and comment design drawings, materials and MES
- Review Method / Risk / Health and Safety statements.
- Cooperate with the Engineering department for discussing design changes in construction in order to provide technical solutions.
- Respond on the RFIs
- Assure compliance with codes, standards and statutory authority requirements
- Test & Commissioning management.
- Prepare Contractors Scope of works
- Assist the Engineering Departement on the developing Processes and Procedures and Standards for EMP works
- Statutory Services Providers.
- Leading his teams effectively and by example
- Train his team and other engineers (through On Job Training) and transfer knowledge is a main duty
- Cooperate and coordinate with the other disciplines for securing the integration of working activities.
- **Pre-Construction Activities**:

- To ensure best practises are promoted across the project, and provide a fulcrum to promote innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide specific technical reports on request.
- Having the experience to review and advise on cost estimation of works and materials
- Ensure that tenders received from biddersare in accordance with required specification and assists in the development of the companys bidding / supply chain.
- Advise the estimating team on costs of M&E design, including considerations to changes in specification and details. Ensure that the clients requirements are correctly interpreted and taken account of up to completion of the M&E design whilst having regard to the companys contract sum.
- Evaluate all tender returns from subcontractors for inclusion into the companys tender.
- Review M&E design information at tender stage and undertake full design gap analysis to advise the estimating team of any design shortfalls.
- Produce Value Engineering options
- Evaluate potential costs for Statutory services as budgets
- Attend site visits during the tender process
- Assist, when required, in tender settlements.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- At least 12 years of experience with 8 years in similar role.
- Contractor’s experience on a similar role will be much appreciated
- will have a high level of energy, drive combined with strong customer service skills to ensure a quality M&E Management service is delivered to a number of concurrent and maybe complex construction projects
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Good organising skills with strong attention to detail, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and consistently meet high standards and deadlines.
- Ability to develop relationships both within the business and externally with clients, contacts, etc demonstrating tact, discretion and confidentiality as required.
- Member of CIBSE would be desirable but not essential
