**Our client**:Leading Gasification & associated utilities/facilities company

**Reporting to**: Block Director (Power)

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Process Operations OR Engineering
- Experience in process plant operation
- Demonstrated skills in Learning & Development/Training for power & power generation
- 10+ years operations experience in Power plant/Refinery/Industrial facility
- 5 years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in English
- Track record of success on training Operations
- Coordinate operations personnel, communicating requirements of plant operations via classroom/hands on training.
- Ability to communicate and train at all levels on a constant mode.
- Provides direction/guidance based on technical feedback from Engineering/Maintenance on training required for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and test activities.
- Provide training support & guidance for Operations Teams during commissioning & startup of facility.
- Maintain document control, monitor training initiatives, documenting training activities for Operations staff.
- Develops training curriculum with periodic testing for operations staff to track progression, identify gaps
- Develops advanced training material for senior operators focusing on safety and efficiency of process.
- Develops operations manuals that will serve as reference materials for all operators.
- Conducts regular trainings and relevant learning activities to ensure operators upgrade technical & operational skills.
- Spearhead progression program for operations staff
- Ensure facilitation of Internal Job Certification among all operators.
- Evaluate individual operator task completion, delivery and proficiency by observation, interviews, or panel board.
- Design training materials - classroom, face-to-face, live virtual learning, e-learning & blended methodology
- Coordinate with L&D Team for program development and execution of training programs and learning interventions.
- Ensures safety of all operations personnel by utilizing client Basic Safety Practice program
- Train Operations Teams with assistance from EHSSQ Team in planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up HSE
- Establish & deliver training program for Power Block
- Provides guidance to operating teams of Power block through OJT
- Support/maintain close working relationship with engineering and maintenance personnel
- Provides operations support and participate in investigations and Root Cause Analysis
- Onboard new Operators personnel/Apprentices & lead training program, monitoring performance and closing gaps.
