**Job Description**:
Oriental Pastry Chef

We are looking for an Oriental Pastry Chef to be an effective member in Pullman Zamzam Madina and to be a great assist to the kitchen department and in the development of the hotel.

What you will be doing:

- Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
- Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in the pastry section of the kitchen.
- Assist running the pastry section of the kitchen; Oriental Pastry.
- Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings.
- Bring creativity to the pastry offerings.
- Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
- Plan production to facilitate daily requirements.
- Develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings.
- Manage food cost controls to contribute to Food and Beverage revenue.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
- Ensure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards and expectations.
- Liaise daily with Executive Pastry Chef to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback.
- Continually strive to improve food preparation and presentations.
- Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage.
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
- Maintaining labor cost through productive use of labor and ensuring that resources are properly allocated to support business levels.
- Maintains a safe work environment and is responsible to complete the Weekly Preventative Maintenance Checklist.
- Training and developing kitchen colleagues and ensuring that ongoing training opportunities are communicated to the Executive Pastry Chef an addressed with the colleague.
- Follow and deliver all Leading Quality Assurance Standards for your position.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Your experience and skills include:

- At least 3 Years of experience in the position in a 5-star Hotel
- Saudi or with transferable Iqama
- Excellent leadership, communication and training skills
- Strong attention to detail, highly responsible, organized & reliable
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
