Job Title: Accounting Specialist - Engineering Contracting

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Accounting Manager / Financial Controller

Experience Level: 3-4 years

Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Accounting Specialist with demonstrated expertise in Saudi accounting principles, B2B transactions, ZATCA compliance (e-invoicing), and VAT management.

Key Responsibilities:
◦ Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, including invoice generation, payments, and reconciliation.

◦ Prepare and reconcile bank statements.

◦ Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records.

◦ Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

◦ Perform general ledger entries and month-end closing procedures.

◦ Maintain comprehensive fixed asset records.

◦ Generate ZATCA-compliant e-invoices (Fatoorah) ensuring adherence to regulations.

◦ Prepare and file accurate VAT returns on time.

◦ Manage VAT input and output calculations.

◦ Stay updated on changes in ZATCA and VAT regulations.

◦ Implement project costing and progress billing procedures.

◦ Track project expenses and profitability.

◦ Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting on projects.

◦ Prepare financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).

◦ Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management.

◦ Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on Saudi Arabian accounting practices.
- Knowledge of ZATCA e-invoicing requirements and VAT regulations.
- Experience working in a B2B environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (Zoho Books or similar).

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an engineering contracting company or a related construction industry.
- Understanding of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.
- Experience with project accounting and cost control.
- Arabic language skills (written and spoken).

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
