Medina, Saudi Arabia King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Full time

Leads and coordinates activities of the Technical Assistants and/or assists in specialty areas of the Laboratory.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Monitors and resolves problems related to specimen procurement and activities of the Technical Assistants and/or assists in specialty of the Laboratory, including but not limited to Parasitology, Cytogenetics, Microscopy and Blood Transfusion Service.

2. Receives daily schedules and assigns Technical Assistants to specific areas of the Hospital and Clinics for specimen procurement.

3. Assists in training new Technical Assistants.

4. Oversees distribution of laboratory reports.

5. Inventories and requisitions blood collecting supplies.

6. Performs all duties of blood collecting, etc. as needed.

7. Participates in self and other’s education, training, and development, as applicable.

8. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.

**Education**:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma in Medical or Laboratory Technology, or in related majors such as Biochemistry, Biology, or Microbiology is required.

**Experience Required**:

- Grade 7:
One(1) year of related experience with Bachelor’s or two (2) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
- Grade 8:

- Four (4) years as Lead Technical Assistant at KFSH&RC. Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) forthe last four (4) years. Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:

- Current Registration from country of origin and SaudiCommission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required. - Bilingual skills [English/Arabic] is required for verbal and written communication purposes. - Completion of approved accreditation according to country of origin is required for non-Saudi.
