**About the Opportunity**:
The SANGCOM UK Project Team comprises of UK military, UK civil servants and various contractors, who provide infrastructure and equipment support to the Ministry of National Guard’s (MNG’s) Signal Corps (SC). SANGCOM have recently been commissioned to deliver a barracks to house the SC’s Electronic Warfare (EW) Battalion and supporting equipment. The barracks will be located within the Riyadh area and is to consist of both domestic and technical accommodation, including all necessary service and security infrastructure.
The primary objective of this role is to provide technical support to SANGCOM and to manage the phase 1 contractor, ensuring that requirements are met and delivered in accordance with the agreed contract deliverables. Ensuring quality, safety and assurance as a priority. To ensure the successful execution of this project, we are seeking a competent and experienced Construction Project Manager to compliment the current team which consist of a SANGCOM Senior Project Manager, Civils Project Engineer and an Electrical Engineer. This role will be based in Saudi Arabia on a full-time basis.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Ensure the selected Phase 1 Contractor delivers against their contractual obligations as described within the Client Technical Specification and supporting ITT documentation.
- Quality assurance of the delivery outputs during Phase 1 of the project.
- Advise and assist on project Management good practice and processes.
- Provide advice on NEC4 contractual obligations and management.
- Assist with risk, financial management and the development of mitigation strategies.
- Ensure disciplined document control and management.
- Develop update and progress reports for routine business and to support brief to senior management.
**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
- Experience working within Saudi Arabia or other Middle Eastern countries.
- Experience managing budgets and schedules.
- Proven risk management experience in construction projects.
- Working knowledge of NEC 4 contract, and design and build contracting method.
- Current working knowledge of construction regulatory compliance, ideally a working understanding of KSA legislation (Saudi Building Code).
- Strong team management and leadership.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Project management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management and project scheduling.
