**The Opportunity**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Leadership & Vision**:

- Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for the Dental Department in alignment with the hospital's overall mission and goals.
- Lead and manage all aspects of the dental department, including Orthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry.
- Drive clinical excellence, innovation, and the adoption of new technologies and treatment methodologies.

**Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure the delivery of the highest quality, evidence-based dental care to all patients.
- Establish, implement, and monitor clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to meet and exceed international accreditation standards (CBAHI, JCI).
- Champion a culture of continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management within the department.

**Administrative & Operational Management**:

- Manage the department’s financial performance, including budgeting, revenue cycle, resource allocation, and cost control.
- Optimize operational workflows to maximize efficiency, patient satisfaction, and clinic utilization.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of state-of-the-art dental equipment and supplies.

**Academic & Professional Development**:

- Foster a strong academic environment by promoting research, publications, and participation in scientific conferences.
- Lead the recruitment, mentoring, training, and performance evaluation of dental staff, including consultants, specialists, and residents.
- Develop and oversee accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for departmental staff.

**Collaboration & Representation**:

- Serve as the primary liaison between the Dental Department and hospital executive management, other clinical departments, and external stakeholders.
- Represent the department in hospital-wide committees and contribute to organizational strategic planning.
- Ensure full compliance with regulations set forth by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and other relevant governmental bodies.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Medical Degree (DMD, DDS, or BDS) from an accredited institution.
- **American Board, Canadian Fellowship (FRCDC), UK/Ireland CCST, or equivalent Western certification in a dental specialty (e.g., Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics) is mandatory.**:

- Valid SCFHS license as a **Consultant** (or eligibility for immediate transfer/classification).
- Minimum of **12-15 years of post-certification experience**, with at least **5-7 years in a significant leadership role** (e.g., Division Head, Department Chair, or Program Director) within a large hospital or academic medical center.
- Proven track record in clinical leadership, departmental administration, and financial management.
- Demonstrable experience in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Previous leadership experience in the Middle East/GCC region.

**Desirable**:

- Master's degree or PhD in a dental or related field.
- Master's in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA).
