Risk Management Assessment Team

We are looking for a highly skilled team of **Risk Analysts** to join our risk management team for a comprehensive risk assessment of our bank’s operations. Over the course of 2-3 months, the team will assess key areas of financial crime risks across customer demographics, geographical regions, international transactions, products and services, and internal controls. This is a critical project to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to ensure the bank’s continued compliance and protection from financial crime.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Risk Analyst - Customer Base and Product Risk Evaluation**:

- **Customer Risk Analysis**: Analyze the bank’s customer demographics, behaviors, and transaction patterns to identify high-risk customers and sectors.
- **Products and Services Review**: Evaluate the bank’s product and service offerings to identify any that may pose financial crime risks.
- **Data Analysis**: Collect, analyze, and interpret customer and product data to assess risk levels.
- **Risk Reporting**: Document findings and provide key insights into the bank’s risk exposure related to customers and products.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the other analysts to ensure a cohesive risk assessment across all areas of focus.

**2. Risk Analyst - Geographical and International Transactions Risk Assessment**:

- **Geographical Risk Evaluation**: Analyze the inherent risks associated with the bank’s operational regions, including factors like political stability, economic conditions, and historical financial crime trends.
- **International Transactions Assessment**: Review and evaluate risks associated with cross-border transactions, both outgoing and incoming.
- **Country-Specific Risk**: Assess risks specific to the countries in which the bank operates, considering regulatory environments, political instability, and financial crime risks.
- **Reporting**: Provide detailed insights into geographical and international transaction risks, offering recommendations for mitigating these risks.

**3. Risk Analyst - Control and Residual Risk Evaluation**:

- **Control Assessment**: Evaluate the bank’s existing internal controls to assess their effectiveness in mitigating identified financial crime risks.
- **Residual Risk Evaluation**: After assessing current controls, identify residual risks that may remain and provide recommendations for improving risk management.
- **Control Effectiveness**: Examine and evaluate the performance of existing controls in addressing financial crime risks.
- **Risk Reporting**: Generate detailed reports on control effectiveness and residual risks, offering actionable insights to improve risk mitigation strategies.

**Key Deliverables**:

- **Customer Base and Product Risk Assessment**: Identification of high-risk customer segments and products/services.
- **Geographical Risk Evaluation**: Comprehensive assessment of the geographical regions the bank operates in and the associated risks.
- **International Transactions Risk Assessment**: Evaluation of risks in cross-border transactions, including potential risks in global operations.
- **Control and Residual Risk Evaluation**: A thorough review of internal controls and residual risks, providing suggestions for risk mitigation and process improvements.
- **Findings and Recommendations**: Final report summarizing key findings, inherent risks, and strategic recommendations for improvement in risk management.

**Qualifications**:
**Risk Analysts (All Roles)**:

- **Experience**: 3+ years in **risk analysis**, **AML compliance**, **financial crime prevention**, or **risk management** within the **banking** or **financial services** industry.
- **Skills**: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess and interpret complex data related to financial crime risks. Proficiency in **AML**, **KYC**, **CFT**, and **sanctions compliance** is highly preferred.
- **Certifications**: Certifications such as **CAMS**, **CRISC**, or **CISA** are a plus.
- **Education**: Degree in **Finance**, **Risk Management**, **Business Administration**, or related field.
