- Bechtel is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer who has extensive experience with executing greenfield and brownfield with a proven track record seeking technical/leadership challenges in Mechanical Engineering field.- Maintain good knowledge of Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Bechtel design guides, appropriate Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAPs) and administrative practices. Plans, develops, coordinates, and reviews detailed engineering work outlined herein according to a set of engineering design criterion utilizing approved engineering procedures and practices. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements. Provide training for groups within and external to Mechanical Engineering, as required. Mentor junior mechanical engineers. Provide input to scoping documents such as equipment list as well as necessary support to P&ID, HAZOP and Model reviews. Provide technical support to resolve construction and startup questions and issues.**Major Responsibilities**:

- Leads engineering teams, overseeing direct reports and organizing team deliverables to achieve project goals.
- Provides coaching, mentorship, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
- Manages schedule and cost performance, supporting change management through the trend program. Collects and interprets engineering progress data for project control reporting.
- Responsible for engineering activities on medium-sized projects, coordinating globally distributed teams.
- Leads the mechanical engineering team in coordinating with other disciplines, clients, suppliers, contractors, and groups during the detailed design phase of mechanical equipment.
