**Responsibilities**
- Provide technical guidance on MEP material selection to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with design teams to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into the overall architectural vision of the opera house theatre.
- Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies for new materials and technologies.
- Develop and manage the procurement strategy for MEP materials, including sourcing, bidding, and contract negotiations.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project milestones.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of MEP materials from procurement to installation, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget.
- Coordinate with construction managers, subcontractors, and on-site personnel to resolve any issues related to MEP materials.
- Monitor and report on the status of MEP material inventory, usage, and waste to optimize resource efficiency.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all MEP materials meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP materials on-site and at vendor locations.
- Address and resolve any non-compliance issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain comprehensive records of material specifications, approvals, procurement documents, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and present regular reports on MEP materials status, including usage trends, cost analysis, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP engineering, with at least 5 years in a materials management role.
- Proven track record in managing MEP materials for large-scale construction projects, preferably in the cultural or performing arts sector.
- Deep understanding of MEP systems and materials, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, MS Project).
- LEED accreditation or other sustainability certifications is a plus.
