Job Objective:
The laboratory technician is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of chemical products used in construction by conducting laboratory tests and analyses. The technician ensures that products meet the required technical specifications and standards, while also working to improve production processes by analyzing results and providing technical recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Laboratory Tests:
Inspect samples of raw materials and finished products to ensure they comply with technical standards.

Perform quality tests on dry mixes (Dry Mix) to ensure consistency, setting time, stability, and resistance.

2. Data Analysis:
Record and analyze laboratory data and results using data analysis programs or paper records.

Prepare test reports and provide recommendations based on test results to improve product quality.

3. Quality Control:
Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards and customer or local/international specifications.

Collaborate with production teams to improve processes and identify production weaknesses.

4. Manage Tools and Equipment:
Regularly calibrate and maintain laboratory tools and equipment to ensure accurate test results.

Report any equipment failures or maintenance needs to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

5. Ensure Occupational Health and Safety:
Adhere to safety standards when handling chemicals in the laboratory.

Follow approved health and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

6. Professional Development:
Stay updated on technological advancements and innovations in chemical testing and construction materials.

Attend training courses and workshops to develop technical skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
Diploma or technical certificate in chemistry, materials technology, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in construction chemicals or paint laboratories.

2. Technical Skills:
Good knowledge of chemical and physical tests related to construction materials and paints.

Ability to use specialized laboratory equipment.

3. Personal Skills:
Attention to detail and precision.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
