**Roles and Responsibilities**
**_ Technical Maintenance & Optimization_**
- Conduct preventive, corrective maintenance and Emergency inspection and Repair Works FACTS systems, Statcom & HVDC, including thyristor valves, converter transformers, cooling systems, and auxiliary power systems.
- Perform diagnostics and root cause analysis for faults in substation equipment, implementing corrective measures to restore system reliability.
- Oversee the maintenance of auxiliary systems, including batteries, UPS, diesel generators, HVAC, fire safety systems, and LVS.
- Test and troubleshoot control and protection systems, including relay configurations, SCADA/HMI, and substation automation networks.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such Level Test Equipment (LTE), and Profibus tools for system optimization.
- Capable of performing comprehensive replacement and restoration of valve hall equipment, including gate electronics, thyristors, and all associated components.
- Develop and implement maintenance and optimization strategies for HVDC substations, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Commitment to continuous learning in FACTS, Statcom &HVDC technologies for sustained professional growth.
- Manage, support the customer and availability for 24/7 for critical accidents.
**_ Project Management_**
- Plan and execute maintenance projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and performance tracking, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to manage system upgrades, including integration of advanced technologies like thermal imaging systems and enhanced battery management solutions.
- Develop detailed maintenance strategies, RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) metrics, and compliance frameworks for high-voltage equipment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, GFV Fact central team, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to safety standards, and to tackle technical challenges and boost system performance.
- Prepare and present progress reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Commitment to continuous learning in FACTS, Statcom & HVDC technologies for sustained professional growth.
**_ Leadership & Collaboration_**
- Mentor and train engineering teams, building technical expertise in FACTS, Statcom & HVDC maintenance.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to address technical challenges and enhance system performance.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management / similar role
- Strong experience in managing high-capacity transmission projects.
- Strong HVDC and FACT technical experiences to manage new projects with experience in Grid Solutions.
- Hands-on experience in maintaining high-voltage equipment is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to deliver projects on time and effectively manage stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate with the Center of Excellence and implement Lean Approach activities
- Previous experience in the MEA region is a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic is essential
- Must be able to work on-site at the Al Khobar office
