Senior Civil Engineer

As the Senior Civil Engineer, your role involves supervising the construction of district cooling projects projects. You will ensure that all projects meet the required standards and specifications, providing technical leadership and guidance to your team.
**Your new role, what's involved?**
- Primary duties of the Civil Engineer involve is to ensure Civil plans and design documents are in accordance to
- best practices, and applicable codes and standards, and to monitor Civil site activities to verify continuous
- compliance with approved plans, specifications and applicable codes and ordinances.
- Review Civil plans, calculations, models, specifications, shop drawings and related documents for compliance with
- project codes, laws, ordinances, regulations, policies and requirements.
- Monitor site activities to verify continuous compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Attend and witness site inspections and commissioning activities as needed.
- Ensure compliance with best practices pertaining to energy efficiency, sustainability, and operability.
- Grant approvals, approve revisions and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Advise and consult with architects, engineers, contractors, builders on Civil requirements & project policies
- Attend site visits and resolve field related issues.
- Resolve Civil technical issues with Contractor to ensure progress of works are not affected.
- Assist in the training of Civil inspectors.
- Provide technical support in Civil field for project.

**We'd love to hear from you if you have**:

- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience out of which 3 are in similar projects scale and complexity.
- Previous District Cooling experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English & Arabic.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Proficient in project management software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of quality and health and safety standards.
