Field support.technician I

**MINIMUM

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Two years relevant experience in the oil field sector or if there is no experience, technical diploma is a must
- At least 3 years of experience as Caterpillar Engine Technician

- **PREFERRED

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Mechanic or Electrician diploma
- Electrical background is an asset
- PLC controls experience is an asset

**Maintenance & Repair**

- Have all the knowledge needed to rebuild CAT3512 engines

- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using Caterpillar diagnostic tools.

- Conduct repairs and component replacements to restore equipment functionality.

**Inspection & Testing**

- Carry out thorough inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.

- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer standards.

**Safety & Compliance**

- Follow all safety protocols and company policies during repair and maintenance activities.

- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for compliance and reporting.

**Collaboration**

- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams.

- Provide technical support and training to junior mechanics when required.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum **3 years of experience**as a heavy equipment mechanic, specifically with Caterpillar machinery.

- Strong knowledge of Caterpillar diagnostic software (e.g., CAT ET).

- Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

- Technical certification in heavy equipment mechanics (preferred).

Work Environment

- Workshop and field-based role with exposure to heavy machinery.

- Occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.
