**1. Summary of Functions**

As a Safety Engineer at Mayar Gulf Engineering Consultants, your primary responsibility is to develop and implement safety strategies across various projects. You will focus on risk assessments, provide expert advice to clients, and ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.

**2. Duties and Responsibilities**

2.1. Conduct risk assessments and accident analyses to identify areas for improvement.

2.2. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

2.3. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and modern techniques.

2.4. Collaborate with technical and management teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

2.5. Prepare safety performance reports and provide recommendations for operational improvements.

2.6. Monitor the implementation of safety procedures and ensure adherence at job sites.

2.7. Coordinate safety and occupational health programs with various departments.

2.8. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to safety and adjust policies accordingly.

**3. Authorities**

3.1. Recommend improvements to safety procedures and training programs.

3.2. Access all safety-related information and data at job sites.

3.3. Represent the company at safety-related events and conferences.

**4. Organizational Relationships**

4.1. Report to the direct manager.

4.2. Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure safety compliance.

4.3. Coordinate with quality and operations departments to meet safety objectives.

**5. Accountability**

5.1. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring employee satisfaction regarding safety practices.

**6. Qualification Requirements**

6.1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or safety engineering.

6.2. Minimum of 1 years of experience in occupational safety.

6.3. Strong knowledge of local and international safety standards and regulations.

6.4. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

6.5. Relevant certifications in safety (e.g. ,CFPS,CFPI) are a plus.

6.6. Proficiency in English and Arabic.

**7. Physical Demands**

7.1. No specific gender preference.

7.2. Regular interactions with employees and various departments.

7.3. Occasional travel may be required to monitor job sites.

**8. Work Environments**

8.1. Dynamic work environment promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.

8.2. Adherence to company policies and values in all interactions.

**Note**: Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Lead Safety Engineer or senior management based on business needs.
