Department/Section

Admin Section - Food Services Department

Responsible for the overall organization and administration of Food Services to ensure that the quality and quantity of food production is in accordance with Hospital requirements and standards.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Participates in all planning and decision-making within the Hospital which directly affects the operations of the Food Services Department.

2. Represents Food Services on facility committees as appropriate; develops long and short range goals and objectives for the Department; develops policies and procedures to attain the stated goals and objectives.

3. Develops and maintains the standards and procedures for quality control and sanitation throughout the Department through regularly scheduled inspections and personal observations.

4. Develops and maintains a reporting system that reflects the current operating status of the department by volumes of service, financial statistics and manpower utilization; controls department resources through appropriate planning, utilization, evaluation and data analysis.

5. Responsible for the training, evaluation and motivational programs for all Food Services employees.

6. Recommends or institutes changes in techniques and procedures for more efficient operation and cost control. Plans and implements food service systems, including but not limited to department layout, patient and non-patient food delivery systems and equipment requirements.

7. Determines the quality and quantity of food, supplies, and equipment. Evaluates the quality and cost of Food Services.

**Education**:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Services Administration, Hotel Management, or related discipline is required.

**Experience Required**:
Nine (9) years with Master’s including four (4) years in a senior/supervisory position, or eleven (11) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
Saudi Nationals only.
