- V-44**Basic Functions**Major Duties and Responsibilities**

A. Duties/:
2. Develop or update Aviation Aircrew Training Program, appropriate AH-6I/MNG-AVN related manuals, CMP and POI in accordance with customer guidance.

3. Verify and confirm that all required flight training publications are current and complete.

4. Conduct AH-6I ground school instruction in a classroom environment, providing basic instrument instruction in the aircraft and flight training.

5. Provide aircrew training for Instruments under General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA)rules.

6. Attends meetings as required with Customers.

7. Recommend aviation Instructor Pilot and Pilot in Command appointments to customer leadership.

8. Responsible for providing direct interface and daily status reports as required between staff for training status, mission assignments, mission planning, and crew status.

9. Able to perform duties in a culturally sensitive environment and maintain a professional approach, attitude, and appearance at all times.

11. Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.

B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As Assigned; reports directly to the Senior Flight Instructor Examiner. Supervises all academic training related to functions that include but not limited to daily flight training and endorsement of customer and additional instructor pilot and unit trainers.

**Minimum Qualifications**

A. Education Level:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent - required. College degree preferred.

2. Graduate of a Instructor Pilot Course (IPC)/Methods of Instruction (MOI) or platform instructor course at an authorized Army Aviation Proponent School - preferred.

3. Qualified AH-6i pilot or maintainer - preferred.

4. Graduate certificate of U.S. Army Rotary Wing Instrument Flight Examiner Course (RWIFE) - preferred.

B. Experience:
1. Experience in Attack/Scout helicopter mission/logistics required.

2. Combat experience preferred.

3. Instructor experience at an USAA school preferred.

C. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:
1. Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.

2. Ability to communicate both orally and written in English.

3. Ability to effectively deal with people in the coordination of staff and team members.

4. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.

5. Possesses a valid driver’s license.

D. Any or all of the above minimum qualifications may be waived by Chief of MNG-Aviation.
