**Develop**:

- Develop suppliers to improve technical, quality, lead time, and cost aspects.
- Work with Category Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Regional Procurement teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and expand capability of third-party suppliers within the region.
- Visit suppliers and work with them to thoroughly understand their product and processes.
- Enhance our suppliers’ knowledge of lean production and improvement processes to streamline processes and material flow and improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Organize and lead cross functional teams to identify and qualify suppliers through First Article and ensure sustaining processes are in place for long term success.
- Work with engineering on design for manufacturability concepts Inspection, review, and approval:

- Perform Supplier audits/assessments in accordance with NOV Rig Systems Requirements, ISO 9001, and API Q1.
- Review and approve the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) from suppliers.
- Educate our suppliers of NOV requirements and specifications.
- Witness Inspections at supplier location as required by the ITP with special focus on the machining-, Welding-, NDE and casting and forging processes.
- Lead suppliers progress calls and collaborate with other departments to resolve Technical queries (TQ), Nonconformance reports (NCR).
- Based on above, report the progress in External production progress (EPP) system.
- Witness dimensional inspection at supplier locations as required by the ITP.
- Milestone inspections of critical parts and processes according to the ITP.
- Perform final Inspection/product release on our supplier’s premises.

**Sourcing:
- Supporting supplier negotiations and selections.
- Report on cost savings, supplier performance metrics, and hold periodic performance reviews with key suppliers with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Support local Procurement team to aid as necessary.
- Perform and analyze Supplier Risk Assessments in conjunction with our Supplier Lifecycle Management program.
