**Qualification**:
National Technical/Engineering Diploma + 1 Year as Trainee Technician

**Experience**:
minimum 3 years relevant experience

- Participate in a specific on the job training program in order to acquire the skills and capability needed to assume full technician responsibilities upon completion of the course
- Complete classroom training as required
- Is trained to receive work permits and understand and implement the permit conditions prior to commencement of work
- Undertake simple technician tasks, under close supervision and specific work direction, ensuring compliance with craft standards and timely completion
- Ensure that tools and resources and systems procedures are in place to address maintenance requirements in his area of responsibility
- Ensure tools and equipment are used in compliance with specifications and that they are maintained in optimum condition to prevent unnecessary interruptions to work programs and to protect the value of the affiliate's assets
- Ensure that the workplace is kept in a clean state and that all work is carried out in full compliance with approved HSE procedures. Collect data related to vibrations, speed, temperature, flow etc. in order to enable analysis of the equipment’s condition
