**Key Accountabilities and Activities**:
- Oversee the design and delivery of a comprehensive environmental permitting and compliance governance system, including the development and finalisation of laws, regulations and policies
- Work with the department functions and Legal affairs to develop and finalise the environmental regulations and sub-instruments for permitting and compliance
- Support the development and implementation of environmental permitting and compliance processes and systems
- Ensure all regulatory policies and requirements are developed to a high standard
- Manage and oversee the management of consultants required to support the environmental permitting and compliance regulatory workplan
- Identify project risks
**Essential skills**:
- Bachelor Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or Environmental management
- 5 years experience in a managerial position
- International or GCC driving license
- 15 years experience in the environmental management in similar field
- Experience in permitting and compliance
- Experience working in government organisations
- Experience in working with technology platforms and systems
