Head of Supply Chain

**Job Purpose**
Strategizes and directs AMIRAL’s supply chain by aligning the needs of the supply chain to drive AMIRAL’s success in Procurement, Warehousing Logistics, Distribution, Demand Planning, Forecasting, and Inventory Management.

**Main Tasks & Accountabilities**
- Directs staff to the level assigned by senior management. Exercises financial authority at the level assigned. Develops a Group wide strategic logistics plan and structures the workflow across the AMIRAL supply chain.
- Drives a value for money capability in the management of the supply chain with strategically aligned policies and resulting processes.
- Ensures speed, visibility, structure, and accountability in the supply chain processes to achieve operational excellence.
- Drives planning schedules, and maintains an ongoing analysis of trends and deviations.
- Nurtures the Supplier Relationship Management to:
- Increase the level of agility to track and respond any changes.
- Measure suppliers performance on an ongoing basis.
- Improve relationships related to the practical processes required to integrate the communication and coordination between Amiral and their suppliers and customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business and strategic priorities and developing these into procurement strategies.
- Negotiates with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Ensures implementation of effective operational risk management strategies to support the continued delivery of services.
- Supports Companywide strategic business resilience risk activity.
- Ensures the transparency of the supply chain processes across AMIRAL.
- Provides detailed Supply Chain analysis and demand planning reports.
**Purchasing**
- Follows up on key purchasing issues to ensure:
- Reviews all major purchases and CAPEX expenditure.
- All documents are correct and procedures are followed.
- Correct approval of all tender documents.
- Detailed analysis on the best price /quality configuration for the group.
- Professional negotiations with suppliers.
- Strong value analyses of best quality/price.
**Warehousing**
**- **Ensures services are available to cover:
- Storage, stock control and dispatch of inventory.
- Outbound products.
- Inbound Goods.
- Transitions from production to dispatch.
**Distribution**
**- **Ensures adequate provision is made for:
- Out bound clearances.
- Fast moving shipment of products.
- Carrier management.
**Logistics**
**- **Ensures the following:
- Adequate carriers/leases are in hand to facilitate on time transportation of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Strong systems for Import/Export Clearance.
- Adequate selection of best options in shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
- Sound company logistics procedures and operations.
- Strong Metrics to assess logistics performance and implement enhancements.
- Adherence to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
**Reporting**
- Provides a series of reports for the purposes of analysis of the supply chain.
- Throughputs, demand management, operational effectiveness and Supply chain process sustainability.
- Price management.
- Waste and redundancy management reports.
**Occasional Duties**
- Undertakes similar or related duties as directed by senior management.

**Background Knowledge & Experience.**
1. Education Level - a Degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or a relevant field is preferred.
2. Professional Qualifications: (Mandatory Licenses)
- A Supply Chain or Purchasing Qualification would be an advantage.
3. Work Experience
- At least 15 years’ experience with an end-to-end supply chain skillset with a demonstrable history of leading and developing teams. At least 5 years experience in Managing medium to large supply chain functions related to food production and distribution.
- Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain from the FMG foods sector preferably meats in a large business preferably in Saudi Arabia.
- Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software_._
