AFCAP V KSA: Material Specialist

Administers production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving of materials. Checks parts and materials for damage and verifies quantity, part number, and serial number of shipped items. Records and prepares status reports of requested and received items. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and is responsible for negotiating refunds. Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies. Under direct supervision, performs routine assignments as an entry level professional. Develops core job competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Solid understanding of supply and warehouse requisition procedures, receipt, store, inventory, and management of materials and supplies. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

**Must be able to pass a background check and obtain Secret Clearance.**
