Senior Metallurgist

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Metallurgist from a gold processing background with strong plant performance improvement experience to join their team on site in Saudi Arabia.

**Responsibilities**:
Analysing plant performance and production outputs and implementing optimization and improvement plans.
Developing process data monitoring, automation, reporting and accounting systems.
Ensuring compliance to process parameters.
Ensuring all processing activities are carried out in line with company and industry standards.
Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose and carry out Root Cause Analysis of deviations.
Providing technical advice and production support.
Carrying out test work and project work in the lab and plant.
Cost analysis and project recommendations.
Cost control to ensure budget compliance.
Continuous improvement initiatives.
Compiling regular plant performance reports and feedback.

**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill

Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
Matric certificate.
Professional registration advantageous.
10 years' experience as a Metallurgist in hydrometallurgical gold processing plants with at least 5 years at senior level.
Well-versed in froth flotation process.
Oxide flotation experience advantageous.
Process modelling and process control experience advantageous.
Strong time management, presentation, people management and financial management skills.
Skilled in data analytics and technical reporting.
Computer literate in MS Office.
Previous expatriate experience.

**Benefits and Contractual information**:
