Position Overview:
A leading company in the Audio Visuals and Lighting sector, is seeking seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various audio-visual equipment. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operation and the delivery of high-quality audio-visual experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Transport, set up, and install audio-visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, monitors, and rack equipment, in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough tests on videos, audio, and signals to identify and resolve any technical issues or malfunctions promptly and effectively.
- Perform cable installations in conduits and cable trays, adhering to best practices for routing and organization.
- Skillfully terminate a wide range of connectors, including RJ45, XLR, BNC, etc., with precision and accuracy.
- Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to site-specific rules and regulations regarding health and safety.
- Ensure that all tools are properly maintained and used in accordance with company standards, maximizing their functionality and lifespan.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and managers, providing regular updates on completed tasks and project status.
- Conduct cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on audio-visual equipment to uphold optimal performance and extend their lifespan.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in audio-visual systems are desirable.
- Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or in a similar role, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of audio-visual equipment and systems.
- Proficiency in the setup, installation, and troubleshooting of audio-visual components, including projectors, speakers, and monitors.
- Strong understanding of cable installation and termination, encompassing various connectors such as RJ45, XLR, BNC, etc.
- Familiarity with audio-visual systems, signal flow, and industry-standard video/audio protocols.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, enabling efficient diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively within a team and across different levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of productivity.
